Three states. One major city. One metropolitan area.

With around 250,000 inhabitants, Aachen is Germany's westernmost major city and also the regional center of the urban region of the same name.

As a traditional imperial city with renowned companies such as Philips, Zentis, Lindt & Sprüngli, and innovative high-tech firms, Aachen is increasingly developing into a hotspot for electromobility. Landmarken AG has deep roots here—for us, this economic area is our home market, where we implement first-class projects.

The approximately 50,000 students at RWTH Aachen University and other universities make the city a lively center of innovation that offers ideal conditions for future-oriented companies. With our projects, we create space for creativity and progress in a region that combines research, technology, and entrepreneurship. Aachen is not only an important business location, but also a cultural, retail, and convention center—perfectly connected to the cities in the surrounding urban region, such as Eschweiler, Stolberg, and Würselen.

From Aachen, we coordinate numerous developments that have a lasting impact on the region. Our projects offer companies tailor-made solutions with first-class infrastructure and international flair – right in the dynamic urban region of Aachen, where innovation, tradition and the future come together.

The main tenant is the global corporation Ericsson, which is moving its Eurolab to Aachen. Landmarken is in talks with other prospective tenants. An impressive topping-out wreath for a pioneering project: the shell of Germany's first residential high-rise building to be constructed according to the cradle-to-cradle principle is almost complete. The mood was correspondingly cheerful on Monday as the topping-out ceremony for "Moringa Hamburg HafenCity" was celebrated. With its unique combination of resource-efficient construction and affordable living, this Landmarken project is considered groundbreaking for the entire construction and real estate industry. In addition to around 220 rental units, the complex will offer communal areas, a daycare center, and a restaurant area upon its completion in 2026.

The construction work is being carried out by August Prien. Completion is scheduled for mid-2027.

  • Key handover at AlphaSpace Aachen: Now it's the innovative users' turn

Less than a year and a half after the foundation stone was laid in spring, we were able to hand over the beautiful rental space in AlphaSpace Aachen to its users together with general contractor Goldbeck. After KiteLoft Cologne and BrainFactory Bochum, this is Landmarken's third Spirit Office building to go into operation and, at the same time, an important building block in the development of the Quartier Nord district between Krefelder Strasse and Gut-Damme-Strasse. The 10,000 m² modular building with six floors was completed on schedule and is fully let.
