New concepts for attractive meeting places
Cities should continue to be lively urban centers of life in the future. That is why we at Stadtmarken are committed to developing the right mix of different uses for each location. Gastronomy and sustainable consumption are important building blocks in this process.
The decline of retail, which has shaped our city centers for many decades, can also be seen as an opportunity. Many former retail locations are being replaced by new, inviting restaurant concepts. In this way, we are creating attractive meeting places for those who live in the city center, work there, or come to the city for other purposes. And where different usage concepts such as these merge and generate new footfall, retail also benefits, which will continue to play an important role in our cities in the future.
Sustainable consumption is increasingly coming to the fore: people are using local shops to shop more consciously. Regional products and healthy materials from local production will be in demand. Even if retail takes up less space in the future, it will be all the more varied and surprising. Our interdisciplinary team is developing new and forward-looking concepts for this.
