Swiss Life Asset Managers has become a shareholder in the TZA at Europaplatz in Aachen, holding a 40 percent stake. The technology center was acquired by Stadtmarken GmbH in 2020 and transformed into a modern science park by The Urban Village GmbH. Both are companies of the Landmarken Group. Stadtmarken remains the majority shareholder in the TZA property company. The Urban Village team continues to operate the property.

Last year, Landmarken reorganized its facility services. This was driven by the strong growth of recent years and the company’s commitment to ensuring reliable technical support for its properties in the future.

The TZA on Europaplatz in Aachen is the flagship of our sister company, The Urban Village: a vibrant office environment with individual workstations, a modern workspace, and digitally equipped conference rooms that connect its users. Even during the building’s design phase—which connects four office wings—the possibility of an expansion had already been considered. Now, the topping-out ceremony for the fifth wing, also known as the “fifth finger,” has been celebrated.

Landmarken AG will develop 209 residential units, retail space, and coworking facilities, as well as an underground parking garage, in Düsseldorf. Following the issuance of the building permit, the construction site for the “Leben am Sonnenpark” project has now been set up, so that construction work on Kölner Straße can begin shortly. Half of the residential space, which will be built on a gross floor area of over 14,000 square meters, will be publicly subsidized. Completion is scheduled for early 2027.

The “So!Apart Awards” are one of the most prestigious industry awards for coliving and serviced apartments in German-speaking countries. At the awards ceremony in Leipzig, founder and CMO Lea Mishra, Lisa Malek (Senior Strategy & Expansion Manager), and Jennifer Langrehr, Director of Operations at POHA House, accepted the award in the category “ : Sustainable and Unique.”

POHA House Preuswald in Aachen has added an important new element and is now complete: With the opening of the nearly 500-square-meter community space on the ground floor—the most sustainable one in the company’s history to date—the Cospace concept can now be fully implemented at POHA House’s fourth location as well. Founded in 2019, the real estate startup creates Cospaces that combine high-end furnished apartments, flexible workspaces, and attractive community spaces under one roof—mostly in central downtown locations.

C-Werk GmbH, a sister company of Landmarken AG, Stadtmarken GmbH, and ecoPARKS GmbH, has purchased the site of the former Continental tire plant in Aachen. Manufacturing companies can be located on the site in the near future. In the long term, the developers plan to transform the C-Werk—as it will be known—into an open and sustainable neighborhood for urban manufacturing and commerce. The development of the former Opel plant site in Bochum serves as a model for this project.

Together with other partners, the Landmarken Family participated in Concular’s latest funding round, in which the startup raised a total of 2.5 million euros.
