Building permit for Neue Mitte York has been granted

We’re almost ready to get started: We’re creating a new center for the York Quarter—Münster’s largest urban development project. We have now received the building permit from the City of Münster.

Our planned complex will combine several key functions for the urban neighborhood—as a sustainable mix of residential and local retail spaces. While the upper floors will feature residential units for a variety of target groups, the ground floors will provide local retail services for the entire surrounding area—including an Edeka, a Lidl, a dm drugstore, and dining options.

The senior living offerings from lively are particularly noteworthy. The operator, which specializes in senior housing and in which Landmarken holds a stake, combines individual, self-contained residential units with a wide range of services, thereby enabling an independent lifestyle with optional support.

In addition, there will be an underground parking garage with approximately 200 parking spaces. A large portion of the more than 300 planned bicycle parking spaces will also be located underground. The mobility concept also includes EV charging stations and cargo bike sharing. The apartments in the complex, which is supplied with district heating and electricity from photovoltaics, are being designed to the BEG-40 standard. The goal is to achieve DGNB Gold certification.

Our Neue Mitte York forms the link between the newly emerging York Quarter and the existing Gremmendorf, thus becoming the center of the newly converging neighborhood. Completion of the project is scheduled for 2028.
